4. Troubleshooting & support

An "offline" status typically means the device has temporarily lost its mobile data connection, usually due to weak network coverage in that specific area. The device will automatically reconnect and update its location when signal is restored. If your vehicle remains offline for more than 6 to 12 hours continuously, contact Easytrax support, as this may indicate a device or SIM issue that needs attention.
Push alerts can be missed due to a few reasons: your phone's notification settings may be blocking the Easytrax app, your internet connection may be weak at the time of the alert, or server load during peak traffic may cause slight delays. First, check that notifications are enabled for the Easytrax app in your phone settings, that background data is allowed, and that battery saver mode is not restricting the app. If alerts are still missing after checking these settings, contact Easytrax support for a server-side check.
This is a known GPS limitation called "GPS drift" and occurs when the GPS signal is weak and fluctuating, causing the device to register small phantom movements even when the vehicle is stationary. To verify whether your vehicle is actually moving or parked, check the ignition status in the app — if ignition is "OFF," the vehicle is parked regardless of what the map shows. GPS drift is most common in dense urban areas or when the vehicle is parked near large metal structures. It does not indicate a device fault.
